5 – 7 square metres per litre, depending on surface profile and porosity. The first coat should be diluted up to 20% with solvent.
Surface Cleaning
Dust, dirt, oil, grease, and other contaminants must be removed from all surfaces to be sealed or coated.
Degrease all surfaces and rinse thoroughly with clean water, scrubbing to remove all contaminants while washing down the area. Repeat this procedure until all contaminant residues have been removed.
If the surface is not profiled, acid etch it with hydrochloric acid diluted 10 parts water to 1 part acid. Broom on the surface and leave to react for 10 minutes. Allow to dry before hosing off with copious amounts of fresh water.
Allow the surface to completely dry before applying the sealer.
Application
To ensure uniformity, thoroughly stir before and during application, making sure that any suspended pigment (if coloured) is completely re-incorporated.
To aid penetration and adhesion, the first coat should be thinned with 10-20% Xylene.
Using a broom, roller, or spray gun, apply the coating evenly. Blisters can form if the product is applied unevenly.
Allow the recommended drying time before applying a full second coat without dilution.
